Dear Creator,

Thank you so much for creating for me. I look forward to whatever you come up with! I am [archiveofourown.org profile] CeruleanTactician on AO3 as well. All my prompts are just suggestions. If you have an idea that you think will be great, as long as it respects my DNWs, go for it. If you need any clarifications, please don’t hesitate to send a question through the exchange mods.

For this exchange, I would be totally happy to receive a spooky, horror, and/or Halloween-themed fic, but it is not required at all. Please go with what inspires you!

I have gifts enabled on my AO3 account and would be happy to receive both fic and art treats.

Better Call Saul

Chuck McGill & Jimmy McGill

Jimmy and Chuck’s relationship makes me so sad! They both obviously care for each other but a mixture of stubbornness and circumstance brings their relationship to a tragic end. Also, I was so hoping that we would get another Chuck appearance in the final season, but I wasn’t expecting their last scene together to be so perfect and heartbreaking. We rarely got to see Chuck reaching out to Jimmy, but that scene showed the issues that brought their relationship to that point. I would love to see fic exploring the tragedy of their relationship. Or a happy moment between the two of them!

  • I would love to see pre-canon stuff—scenes from their shared childhood, or maybe something during Jimmy’s early days in Albuquerque or his time in the mail room. Or maybe something during the early days of Chuck’s illness.
  • I would love to see some canon divergence AUs as well. What if Chuck had relented and allowed Jimmy to join HHM at some point? Or maybe what if Chuck survived his suicide attempt at the end of season 3? Would he and Jimmy have been able to rebuild their relationship? Or would Chuck have had to watch as Jimmy fell deeper and deeper into Saul?
  • Jimmy (or Saul) being haunted by the real or imagined ghost of Chuck at any point after Chuck’s death.

Bayban (Blake’s 7) & Peri Brown & Sixth Doctor (Doctor Who 1963)

I saw this tag in another tagset and I just had to nominate it for this exchange! The idea of Bayban meeting Six & Peri is just so delightful to me. I feel like it could be a lot of fun.

  • Bayban and the Doctor keep getting mistaken for each other. Or perhaps they have to pretend to be the other for Reasons, à la “The Enemy of the World”, all while Peri is just trying to keep up with all of it.
  • Peri finds herself working with/for Bayban. Maybe she mistakes him for the Doctor, thinking that he’s having some latent regeneration amnesia and has gotten himself into some trouble because of it. Or maybe some other scenario.

Doctor Who (1963)

Any Doctor & Susan Foreman

I would love to see a fic about the Doctor and his granddaughter! The Doctor has had many companions over the years, but only one granddaughter.

  • I love the headcanon that the reason why he left Gallifrey was at least partially to protect her. I would love a fic exploring that.
  • Susan and the Doctor’s early visits to Earth. Maybe something in the early days, where Susan and the Doctor are still relatively unfamiliar with Earth culture/history. And maybe Susan ends up being the more with more knowledge of what’s going on, and is able to clear up some misunderstandings.
  • Maybe an AU where he ends up visiting her over the years across his various incarnations. Or maybe an AU where a different Doctor other than Eight is the one to keep his promise to return to her.
  • Perhaps at some point Susan decides life on Earth isn’t for her and starts traveling again after her husband passes, and an older and wiser Susan unexpectedly meets up with her grandfather again..

Third Doctor & Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart

I love how despite how much Three complains about the Brigadier he obviously has a lot of respect and fondness for him. And matter how exasperated the Brig can get, he has a lot of respect for the Doctor and would never hesitate to back him up if he needed the help. I love that despite the genuine differences they have, the mutual trust and friendship that forms between them that lasts far beyond the Third Doctor. I also love that the Brigadier, who is literally Just A Military Guy Who Works For the UN, accomplishes something the Time Lords and alien despots across the universe have never been able to: reigning in the Doctor.

  • I would any hurt/comfort! Maybe one of them gets really hurt and the other is forced to deal with the feelings that brings up- realizing how much they care about the other one, guilt/fear, protectiveness, etc. I feel like with a hurt!Doctor, he would pretend to be fine (but totally not be fine). Hurt/comfort with hurt!Alistair is also more than welcome.
  • The Brigadier finds himself accidentally brought along on another trip in the TARDIS some time after the Doctor gets his freedom back in The Three Doctors. He’s not pleased. I imagine that Jo would try to cheer him up and get him to enjoy the trip and have an adventure, but Alistair isn’t that good at being the typical companion…
  • Accidental child acquisition. I feel like these two having to temporarily take care of a human or alien child would be amusing.
  • Three flies the TARDIS back to UNIT after another adventure, and, whoops, he’s off by a few years and runs into a very much retired Brigadier from sometime after “Battlefield”. What does Alistair think about seeing “his” Doctor again after all this time?

Third Doctor & Jo Grant

These two! Jo’s relationship with Three is so cute and I love it so much. He is so obviously fond of her and soft with her, and that can smooth over some of his more abrasive tendencies. I also always love the way they hold hands all the time. As for Jo herself: I love Jo’s bravery, kindness and resourcefulness. I also love when it comes up that she’s a trained operative and gets to use her skills to make escapes/kick the bad guy’s ass.

  • Jo tries to cheer up the Doctor when he's moping about his exile. Alternatively: the Doctor notices Jo is upset about something and tries to cheer them up.
  • I would love any hurt/comfort! Maybe of them gets really hurt and the other is forced to deal with the feelings that brings up- realizing how much they care about the other one, guilt/fear, protectiveness, etc. I feel like with a hurt!Doctor, he would pretend to be fine (but totally not be fine). With hurt!Jo, I feel like the Doctor would be very protective and guilty at her getting hurt.
  • Accidental child acquisition. I feel like these two having to temporarily take care of a human or alien child would be amusing. Bonus points for including a very exasperated Brigadier.

Third Doctor & Jo Grant & Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart

I really like the Third Doctor era. It has this sense of coziness and early sci-fi charm that makes it enjoyable to watch. I also think the limitations of the Doctor’s exile is still an interesting novelty, since the Doctor could no longer just fly away at the end of each adventure and had to manage an ongoing relationship with his coworkers at UNIT. I love Three himself as well- he can be an arrogant bastard but he can also be so genuine and charming that you can’t help but love him. Jo and the Brig are my two favorite companions from this era, so I would love to see a Three & Jo & Alistair adventure.

Also, re: the Brig and Jo - They obviously have a lot of respect for each other, plus a mutual understanding for Dealing With The Doctor’s Nonsense. I have to believe that the Brig appreciates Jo for her ability to reign the Doctor in, though she does participate in his nonsense fairly often as well. I also believe that he feels a sense of responsibility for her as well as he is still her superior, even if she isn't exactly a part of the military hierarchy.

  • Jo tries to cheer up the Doctor when he's moping about his exile and somehow manages to rope the Brigadier into it too. Alternatively: the Doctor notices Jo or the Brig is upset about something and tries to cheer them up.
  • Hurt/comfort! One or more of them gets really hurt and the other is forced to deal with the feelings that brings up. I am always here for a hurt!Doctor story. One of the things about the Doctor is that he always seems invulnerable and one step ahead of everyone else… until he’s not. Perhaps something set while he’s stuck on Earth? A bad situation that he can’t just get in the TARDIS and fly away from would be really interesting. Three is normally so self-assured, so seeing his status as an alien/the stability of his situation with UNIT being called into question would be really interesting. Of course Jo and the Brigadier would do everything they could to help him. With hurt!Jo, I feel like the Doctor and the Brig would be very protective and guilty at her getting hurt.
I feel like these three having to temporarily take care of a human or alien child would be amusing. Bonus points for including a very exasperated Brigadier.

Fifth Doctor & Nyssa of Traken

Castrovalva was my first Classic Who story, so Team Five always holds a special place in my heart. I love Five with Tegan and Nyssa especially, though feel free to include Adric or Turlough in also. I really love his solo adventures with Nyssa in the Big Finish audios- “Circular Time” especially holds a special place in my heart.

The relationship between Five and Nyssa has always been so interesting. They’re actually both very similar people- science focused, not always great with people but very dedicated to helping others. On Nyssa specifically, I love how despite losing everything, she still manages to be principled and compassionate. I also love her love of science and her relationship with Tegan.

  • I would love to see anything that talks about Nyssa’s experiences with mourning her family and her planet and the Doctor trying to support her in this enormous loss. Maybe something with Nyssa trying to keep the memory of Traken alive, of dealing with cultural differences with her fellow traveling companions, or really anything.
  • Hurt/comfort! Hurt Nyssa or hurt Doctor would both be great.
  • Accidental child acquisition. I feel like these two having to temporarily take care of a human or alien child would be amusing.

Peri Brown & Sixth Doctor

What I love about Sixie is despite all the bombasity and theatrics, he really does care about people, especially his friends. He and Peri are so fun and interesting together. Despite the rocky start to their relationship, I really do love Six & Peri as a duo. When their arguing doesn’t get too pointed, they are honestly one of the funniest Doctor Who duos. (IMO, this is especially apparent in their Big Finish audios.) And there is obviously a deep mutual care that binds their friendship together even from the beginning.

As for Peri- she is honestly one of my favorite companions. And it’s not just because she’s the only American companion and I feel compelled to defend her honor, lol. I love how she is allowed to be frightened and snarky but also has a deep inner strength that never fails her when she knows that she’s doing the right thing. (“So what? I’m Perpugilliam Brown, and I can shout just as loud as you can!”)

  • For Peri, I would love to see anything about her life, before, during or after her travels with the Doctor. If you address “Mindwarp”, I would prefer that she hadn’t died for real. Though if you are familiar with “The Widow’s Assassin” or “Peri and the Piscon Paradox,” either of those explanations are acceptable as well.
  • I would love something about their relationship in the early days after The Twin Dilemma and why Peri stays despite everything.

Peri Brown & The Rani

Young human studying botany and Time Lady mad scientist! I can’t really see them ever really getting along, but I think further interactions could be fun. I would love to see a Rani and Peri encounter after “The Mark of the Rani”.

  • Peri and the Rani end up bonding over botany. Peri still disapproves of the whole turning people in trees thing, though.
  • Peri ends up getting kidnapped by the Rani as part of some scheme against the Doctor. Perhaps Peri ends up as an unwilling lab assistant? Perhaps the Rani sees Peri’s interest in science as a botany student and tries to bring her around to her way of thinking? Perhaps she ends up hearing embarrassing stories from the Rani about the Doctor (and the Master’s) academy days?
  • Peri, post-Trial, has an encounter with the Rani. Maybe Peri is looking for a way back to Earth. Or maybe she’s content living with Yrcanos, until the Rani shows up to Yrcanos’s court up to some scheme and Peri has to work to stop her…

Melanie Bush & The Valeyard

Mel and the Valeyard don’t actually get to interact that much in “Trial of a Time Lord,” but I think their dynamic would be very interesting. (I know they have an audio together in the Unbound range, but I haven’t listened to that yet. But spoilers don’t bother me so feel free to reference it in your work!) If you do go with the Valeyard is some evil future version of/dark splinter of the Doctor… then he must have the Doctor’s memories, right? What does he think of his former friends, like Mel? Feel free to include your own headcanons on what is actually going on with the Valeyard and what his connection with the Doctor actually is, or pick an explanation from expanded universe media.

  • What does Mel think of the Valeyard, knowing his alleged connection to the Doctor? Does she realize that if the Valeyard and the Doctor truly are one and the same, then this brings the concept of self-hatred to a whole new level? Does she perhaps sympathize with the Valeyard after she hears about where he came from?
  • The Valeyard kidnaps Mel as part of some evil scheme. Mel does not play the part of damsel in distress very well and is definitely good at purposefully irritating him, though maybe she is eventually able to find common ground with the Valeyard. Maybe by the time Doctor comes in to rescue her, she and the Valeyard have made friends, all while the Doctor goes ???
  • Mel gives the Valeyard some constructive criticism on his plan in The Ultimate Foe. Maybe even getting to use her computer science background. (“Really, Valeyard? A megabyte modem? You’d at least think you could spring for the gigabyte modem…”)
  • Mel gets hurt as part of one of the Valeyard’s schemes. He definitely doesn’t feel guilty or anything like that… but maybe he should help her…
  • The Valeyard gets hurt. It’s probably his own fault, but Mel can’t just leave him to die, can she? And he sort of is the Doctor, which sort of makes him her friend, even if he is evil…

Melanie Bush & Seventh Doctor

I love both of Seven’s TV companions, but I would love to see Mel get some more appreciation! Mel is so fun and smart and enthusiastic but also aware of the dangers she’s facing while traveling with the Doctor. Her and Seven’s TV stories were fairly light (at least in comparison to Seven and Ace's), so I would love to see something darker for them, maybe a chance for Seven to be more calculating than he usually was in Season 24. (Canon-typical Season 24 light-hearted shenanigans are also good, I am also a card-carrying Season 24 apologist! Yes, especially Time and the Rani!)

  • I am totally here for bad things happening to the Doctor and Mel. Write me a whump or hurt/comfort scenario and I will be very happy. Maybe a mission gone wrong? Maybe Seven’s manipulations backfire/lead them into a situation that’s too much for them to handle?
  • I would absolutely love a Mel and the Doctor accidental/undercover as married/fake marriage comedy of errors story. Though I want their relationship to stay platonic, I would love a story where the trust and care Mel and the Doctor have for each other and the importance of their friendship is highlighted via the fake marriage trope.
  • I am also always here for a hurt!Doctor story. One of the things about the Doctor is that he always seems invulnerable and one step ahead of everyone else… until he’s not. For Seven, he’s such a chessmaster that it would really be interesting to see him genuinely caught off guard and really hurt in a way he wasn’t expecting. I would love to see his companion(s) being concerned not only for the Doctor’s wellbeing but also because they’ve rarely/never seen him that hurt and vulnerable.

Seventh Doctor & Ace McShane

Seven and Ace- what’s not to love about them? It's a complicated and weird relationship but there's also genuinely so much care, loyalty and trust there. I love how Ace has A Lot Of Issues and the Doctor kind of helps her but sometimes also ends up traumatizing her further? I would love a story that also explores some of the issues in their relationship- the trust issues, the manipulations, Ace’s past traumas.

  • I am totally here for bad things happening to the Doctor and Mel and/or Ace. Maybe a mission gone wrong? Maybe the TARDIS team finds an ancient evil/eldritch being like Fenric or the Gods of Ragnarok, but the evil ends too great for them? Maybe Seven’s manipulations backfire/lead them into a situation that’s too much for them to handle?
  • For this request, I would be totally happy with a darker Seven interpretation, where he’s willing to manipulate his companions in service of the greater good. But I would prefer him not to be indifferent to their trauma/suffering, even if he is a cause of it.
  • One of the great things about Doctor Who is that pretty much anything can happen. Even though it’s a sci-fi show, you don’t just have to stick to sci-fi related horrors. Team TARDIS fights a ghost? A demon? A malicious house that’s gained consciousness? Vampires? The actual Devil? All has been done before in the show or in the EU (and probably more than once!)

Doctor Who (Big Finish Audio)

Sixth Doctor & or / Charley Pollard

I love their dynamic and all of the ways it’s different from her and Eight’s dynamic (and the ways that it’s similar!). I love the fact that Six knows that she’s lying to him but he grows to care for her anyways. I would love anything that plays with the fact that the usual Doctor-companion dynamic don't really apply to their relationship- in this case, Charley is the one who knows more and holds the cards, while Six is the one discovering new things about the mysterious person he's traveling with, sometimes unsure of who she is and what her motivations are.

  • I would love to see some hurt/comfort for these two - I’m totally fine with hurt!Charley, hurt!Doctor, or even both of them hurt. I would love to see how the secrets Charley is keeping throughout most of their relationship cause a bad situation to get even more difficult - or maybe how they overcome that and care for each other in spite of the secrets that lie between them. If you want to go with hurt!Charley, I'm always here for the fact that whenever Charley is hurt/in danger, Six stops caring about finding out what she's hiding (and even sometimes starts calling her Charley!)
  • I’m also totally here for Charley having some complicated one-sided feelings for Six- he’s not the man she fell in love with… but also he is??? But I’m also here for Sixie developing some feelings for her as well, despite everything.
  • A fix-it for the Mila and/or the Viryans situation. What if Six found out the truth about Charley under better circumstances? Even if they still end up parting, I would love for it to be under better circumstances.

Sixth Doctor & Frobisher

I am delighted with the fact that Six has a companion who is a shapeshifting penguin. I am even more delighted that the one of the two audio stories with the shapeshifting penguin companion is actually one of Big Finish’s best of all time, “The Holy Terror”. Please give me more Frobisher & Sixie content!

  • Sixie finds out that Frobisher’s been impersonating him and is predictably offended.
  • Six and Frobisher solve a mystery.
  • I know they traveled together in the comics, so feel free to include Peri in your fic if you’d like.

Seventh Doctor & Ace McShane & Thomas "Hex" Schofield

This trio has such a great dynamic in the audios, and they explore a lot of interesting concepts together. I love the relationship between them and how the addition of Hex changes the Ace-Doctor dynamic. Hex starts out as a relatively normal person on the outside of Ace and the Doctor’s weirdness but is also being inexorably drawn into it. I love how Ace and Hex tease each other but also obviously care for each other a lot. And I love how much the Doctor cares for Ace and Hex, even if he isn’t always honest with them. They also have one of the best Doctor Who villains, our old pal Nobody No-One.

  • I am totally here for bad things happening to Ace, Hex and the Doctor. Maybe a mission gone wrong? Maybe the TARDIS team finds an ancient evil/eldritch being like Fenric or the Gods of Ragnarok, but the evil ends too great for them? I would also be very happy to see another encounter with our old friend Nobody No-One. Or maybe Seven’s manipulations backfire/lead them into a situation that’s too much for them to handle?
  • For any Hex-focused fic, I would love to see an exploration of how he fits into the Ace-Doctor dynamic. Perhaps Hex feels on the outside of Ace and the Doctor’s already established relationship? But then he gets in trouble and Ace and the Doctor prove how much they care about him.
  • I love love love hurt/comfort stories. I would love to see Ace and Hex working together to help a hurt Doctor. Perhaps the Doctor gets hurt trying to protect Ace and Hex and tries to act confident and pretend to be invulnerable until he can’t anymore? One of the things about the Doctor is that he always seems invulnerable and one step ahead of everyone else… until he’s not. For Seven, he’s such a chessmaster that it would really be interesting to see him genuinely caught off guard and really hurt in a way he wasn’t expecting. I would love to see his companions being concerned not only for the Doctor’s wellbeing but also because they’ve rarely/never seen him that hurt and vulnerable. For hurt Ace and/or Hex, I would also love a guilty Doctor trying to protect his companions from further harm. Basically, I would love to see these three in a bad situation but using their skills and their care for each other to make the best of it.
  • So, “Protect and Survive” was an incredible story… but I would have loved to see a more direct look at the aftermath of it! I know for story reasons that was impossible, but I would love to see an AU where there could be more of a reckoning for it. Accidentally abandoning your friends to suffer and repeatedly die in your Nuclear Armageddon Time Loop Hell Prison is not cool, Doctor!

Seventh Doctor & Sally Morgan, Lysandra Aristedes & Seventh Doctor & Sally Morgan

The black TARDIS team! They have a very different dynamic with Seven than Ace & Hex do, and I think it would be interesting to explore that. Seven definitely expects them to handle more dangerous missions than he would expect for any other companions, including Hex and Ace, but I do think he does care for Sally and Lysandra in his own way. And Sally and Lysandra are definitely more prepared for battling Elder Gods than your average Doctor Who companion. I would love for a fic that explores the weird space that Sally and/or Lysandra occupied in the history of the Doctor’s companions.

I loved Sally from the moment I first heard her. I love that despite the fact that she’s a highly trained soldier, she’s also very kind and vulnerable. And I enjoyed that at least Sally always had faith in the Doctor, even when the rest of the team was being (deservedly) harsh on him in “Black and White” and “Gods and Monsters”. I just really love Sally and the kindness and care she shows to the people around her. I love her friendship with Lysandra and I especially love her bond with the Doctor. Their scenes together in “Afterlife” especially stand out to me. I love that she can show the Doctor compassion and go out of her way to help him even after losing someone she really cared about.

Lysandra is great. She’s not nice and has a lot of issues with the Doctor that much, though she has come to (mostly) trust his judgment. There’s an underlying sadness to Lysandra especially, that gets explored in a lovely way in “Project: Nirvana.”

  • Hurt/comfort. I am always here for a hurt!Doctor story. One of the things about the Doctor is that he always seems invulnerable and one step ahead of everyone else… until he’s not.
  • I would love to see the team having some downtime. Maybe Seven arranges for them to take a break from hunting the Elder Gods and go somewhere fun? Or maybe while looking for Elder Gods, they accidentally find that they're actually on a much more low-stakes mission.

Eighth Doctor & or / Charley Pollard

I really love these two! I love how Eight can be anything from sweet and energetic to more dark and moody. And Charley - I love her kindness and her positivity. I also love how much she enjoys adventuring and her and how her and the Doctor's bond remains unbreakable despite everything they go through in canon.

  • Their early stuff is just so incredibly sweet. Despite the inherently doomed nature of any Doctor/Companion romance, I found myself really rooting for them in their early audios. Of course things got a lot darker after “Neverland”/”Zagreus”/”Scherzo”, but I would always love to see lighter moments from their earlier adventures. I'm also always up for quieter moments in between adventures on the TARDIS.
  • I have noticed that Big Finish is quite big on hurt, but not that big on comfort, so I would love some hurt/comfort with these two. I’m totally fine with hurt!Charley, hurt!Doctor, or even both of them hurt
  • I would also love to see Doctor Who take on a gothic romance kind of story. Maybe something with a vampire!Eight AU? (I feel like Charley would totally be into vampire!Eight…) A more silly/cracky take on this would also be great! Also feel free to go with any kind of fantasy/dark fantasy/fairytale AU.
  • I would love love love to see an Eight and Charley reunion! Feel free to go in a fluffy direction with this, or an angsty direction. If angsty, I would love to see this combined with an Eight is the War Doctor AU. How would Charley react to seeing her Doctor put into this awful position? How would Eight react to seeing Charley again after all this time, during his darkest hour? Would Charley interact with the Time War in interesting ways, given her time-wimey history as a (former) living paradox?

C’rizz & Eighth Doctor & Charley Pollard, Solo: C’rizz

I'll be the first to admit that C’rizz’s story is kind of a mess (that was probably affected by the Divergent Universe story ending earlier than originally planned) but I still like him a lot. I am intensely curious about his backstory and His Entire Deal. There’s so much there that I feel is never fully explored in canon: the mass murderer thing, the chameleon personality thing, the absorbing the souls of the people he kills thing... I would love to see any of that explored in fic, and how these things affect his relationship with the Doctor and Charley. I would also be totally happy with some light-hearted (or angsty) canon-typical adventures that don’t get into C’rizz’s whole deal.

  • C’rizz backstory fic. He had a pretty messed up childhood, all things considered. What was his childhood growing up in what was essentially a death cult? How did he end up leaving the Church for L’da?
  • Charley and the Doctor end up finding out what C’rizz’s whole deal is earlier on. Or maybe C'rizz is able to share a version of what happened in his past, if not the whole truth. Or maybe C’rizz is forced to tell the whole truth and they have to deal with it together.
  • AU where C’rizz doesn’t die in Absolution and the TARDIS team has to deal with all of the secrets he’s been keeping. C'rizz being able to find some kind of peace for all that he's done and all that's been done to him, without dying, would be great.
  • C'rizz seems to have the worst luck imaginable in most of their adventures. What about an adventure where C'rizz has some good luck- maybe the TARDIS team finds themselves on a planet where camouflaging/reptilian ancestry is the norm or is seen as a good thing? Maybe a trip to Silurian-era Earth?
  • I’m always up for quieter moments in between adventures on the TARDIS. I have noticed that Big Finish is quite big on hurt, but not that big on comfort, so I would love some hurt/comfort with this trio.

Charley Pollard/Rassilon

I fully realize that this is a ridiculous idea, but I’ve had it in the back of my mind ever since that line where C’rizz teases Charley about having a thing for Time Lords in “The Next Life.” Also, I think that the Doctor’s reaction to all of this would be very funny. Feel free to go in a more cracky/humorous direction with this. (But I would also love to see it played straight as well!)

And I can’t be the only one who thinks that Rassilon’s voice actor, Don Warrington, has a very attractive voice…

  • What if Charley tried to redeem Rassilon… with the power of love? Operation Seduce Rassilon??? After all, she pretty much got shot down by the Doctor in “Scherzo”...
  • Charley and Rassilon somehow get stuck spending time together in the Divergent Universe. He’s the megalomaniacal semi-immortal former God-King-Founder of Time Lord society. She’s a strong-willed twenty year old from Earth. I can see Charley (eventually) growing on him, especially if he decided to try to play the nice, reasonable Rassilon like he sometimes does in the audios.

Zagreus Eighth Doctor/Charley Pollard, Solo: Zagreus Eighth Doctor

Zagreus my beloved! Sometimes we all get hit with Anti-Time and decide to become a villain from a childhood nursery rhyme. He is evil and very cool and I like him a lot. I would love to read your take on him and his relationship with Charley. One thing I like about Zagreus is that the line between him and Eight is really not clear at all. He does things that the Doctor would never do, like hitting Charley, but later audios show that Eight is very capable of coldness and cruelty in the right circumstances, even towards Charley. Where does Eight end and Zagreus begin? Is it even possible to separate the two of them?

I’m fine with a dark and twisted relationship between these two, but I would strongly prefer a Zagreus that genuinely cared for Charley in some way, even if he still is pretty evil. On Charley’s side: I would like to see a Charley who knows that this is a bad idea, but does it anyways, even if it is out of desperation and/or because it’s the only way she can still be with Eight. A Charley who refuses to acknowledge how bad things have gotten or how Zagreus isn’t the Doctor she knows would be great.

  • I don’t have many specific prompts, but I would love to see an AU where the events of “Zagreus” went down a little differently. Or an AU where Zagreus never fully left the Doctor and he crops up again in the Divergent Universe, or maybe an AU where the Doctor is possessed by Zagreus again instead of Perfection in “The Next Life.”
  • I know what I’ve written about this is pretty dark, but like with my Charley/Rassilon request, feel free to go in a more cracky/humorous direction with this. (But I would also love to see it played straight as well!)

Doctor Who (2005)

Amy Pond & River Song

I would love to see something about Amy and River! They never really had a chance to have a traditional mother and daughter relationship, but I love that they were able to have a relationship in their own way.

  • River and Amy rebuild their relationship after the truth comes out about Mels/Melody.
  • River reflecting on her complicated relationship with her mother.
  • River takes Amy on a trip without Rory or the Doctor.
  • River does something special for Amy for mother’s day.
  • Amy and River find a way to keep in touch after The Angels Take Manhattan.

Twelfth Doctor & Bill Potts

Bill!!! Definitely one of the most relatable, down to Earth companions in the TARDIS to date. And Twelve was IMO at his best in Series 10. I fell in love with their relationship from that moment in The Pilot where he goes back in time to get pictures of her mother for her.

  • Bill trying to balance her normal life with her Weird Tutor Stuff.
  • Bill goes to the Doctor for dating advice. The Doctor is not really that good at dating, or giving advice. It’s a problem.
  • Bill finds out strange stuff from the Doctor’s past. Bonus points if it’s stuff regular Doctor Who viewers have context for, while Bill is just like ???
  • Bill reflects on her relationship with the Doctor, during the events of The Doctor Falls or after when she’s with Heather.

Missy & Bill Potts, Twelfth Doctor & Missy & Bill Potts

Missy was such a great addition to the Series 10 TARDIS team, so I would love to see more of her with Bill and maybe also Twelve! Feel free to include Nardole as well if you’d like.

  • It was a shame that Missy only got to participate in one adventure before things fell apart in World Enough and Time. More adventures set between The Eaters of the Light and World Enough and Time would be lovely.
  • Bill and Missy become separated from the Doctor on an adventure and Bill has to figure out how much she can trust Missy.
  • The Doctor and Missy have a disagreement on a moral dilemma while on an adventure and Bill, very uncomfortably, finds herself agreeing with Missy.
  • Missy having complicated feelings about her friendship with Bill while she was the Simm Master, during the events of World Enough and Time/The Doctor Falls. Maybe as Missy she can acknowledge that her friendship with Bill wasn’t all manipulation…

The Godfather (1972 1974 1990)

Connie Corleone & Sonny Corleone

I love protective older brother Sonny and how much he cares for his sister! But I would love to see Connie not just as a victim, but as a woman with agency who tries to find her own way out of the situation she’s in, even if it is a really terrible situation.

  • A look at their childhood.
  • An AU where Connie kills Carlo, and Sonny helps cover it up. Or really just anything where Carlo is taken out of the picture.
  • An AU where Sonny avoids his death on the tollway. How do Sonny and Connie’s lives change? What would Sonny think of the woman who Connie becomes later in her life, by the time of Part III, ready and willing to participate in the family business?
  • Connie mourning Sonny after his death. I do like ghosts/stories with supernatural elements, so feel free to go in that direction if you’d like.

Michael Corleone & Tom Hagen

Tom, you’re my brother. / I always wanted to be thought of as a brother by you, Mikey, a real brother. - The Godfather Part II

Michael and Tom’s relationship is so interesting and complicated. They have very similar personalities, but Michael has that edge of ruthlessness that Tom can’t totally match. Still, even as Michael goes down a darker path in Part II, he always has Tom to count on for absolute loyalty, even if Michael isn’t always appreciative of that loyalty.

  • Tom and Michael always seemed to understand each other better than the other brothers because of their similar personalities. I imagine that was true even when they were younger. What does Michael think of Tom after Sonny brings him home?
  • Hurt/comfort after Michael gets his jaw broken by McCluskey in Part I. Or another H/C scenario of your choosing!
  • Part II - Tom’s reaction to the attempted assassination on Michael.
  • How does Michael tell Tom about Fredo’s betrayal?
  • Why does Tom choose to stay with the Family despite Michael’s increasing paranoia and poor treatment of him towards the end of Part II? And what is his reaction to finding out that Michael had Fredo killed? How is their relationship rebuilt as Michael becomes more and more isolated (or how do they drift further apart)?

Sonny Corleone & Tom Hagen

When Hagen had entered the room Sonny had come rushing to embrace him. Michael realized with a faint twinge of jealousy that in many ways Sonny and Tom Hagen were closer than he himself could ever be to his own brother.” - The Godfather novel.

I love that Sonny just found an orphan boy living on the streets and decided to take him home and ask his dad if he could keep him. And Tom responded, okay, I am going to be loyal to you for the rest of my life. They have one of, if not the closest bond in the Corleone family and I just love their relationship and have so many feelings about it.

  • Any look at their childhood. How did the household react when the family first took Tom in? How did Tom get used to being a part of the family? How did Vito’s business affect their childhood? Did Sonny and Tom know at a young age that they wanted to be a part of it? Do they ever learn about why Vito came to America, his history with the murder of his family by the Mafia in Sicily?
  • A look at Sonny and Tom’s early careers in the Family and how that shaped their relationship. For Sonny - How did he begin working for his father? What did Tom think of it (presumably he was still at university/law school at the time)? How did Sonny gain his reputation for having a short fuse and for violence? For Tom- how and why did he approach Vito to start working for the Family? How was he treated by other members of the Family - were some reluctant to trust him because of Tom’s non-Italian heritage? Did Sonny ever have to defend him? What legal work, shady or otherwise, did Tom do for the Family? How did he start to be considered for the consigliere position?
  • As teens or young adults, Tom and Sonny go on a trip together. Can be a “business”-related or not. (Perhaps to Sicily?) How do the two interact when away from their family? What kind of trouble would they run into?
  • Outsider POV on Sonny and Tom. Maybe from one of the Corleone button men, maybe from a civilian outsider. Maybe from a member of another Family, wondering about the history between the Don Corleone’s firstborn son and heir apparent and an Irish kid?
  • Sonny comforting Tom after his kidnapping in Part I—maybe an AU where it got physical and Tom was tortured? Other hurt/comfort scenarios are welcome as well. I am always here whump and/or H/C.
  • An AU where Sonny and Tom help Connie “deal with” her abusive husband. Interpret “deal with” as you like.
  • An AU where Sonny avoids his death on the tollway. How do Sonny and Tom’s lives change?
  • Tom mourning Sonny after his death. They were so close so I always imagine that Sonny’s death strongly affected him, even years later. I do like ghosts/stories with supernatural elements, so feel free to go in that direction if you’d like.

Vito Corleone & Tom Hagen

“Your boss is dead,” Sollozzo said. He paused, surprised at the tears that sprang to Hagen’s eyes. - The Godfather novel.

Vito is the closest thing Tom has to a father, even if he never takes on the role officially. I’d love something that focused on their relationship.

  • So after Sonny brought Tom home, why did Vito agree to take him in? What was Vito’s thought process there?
  • More on Tom’s perspective on Vito. It’s clear that he respects and loves him and thinks of him as a father. How and why did he approach Vito to start working for the Family instead of pursuing a career as a legitimate lawyer? How was he treated by other members of the Family - were some reluctant to trust him because of Tom’s non-Italian heritage? What legal work, shady or otherwise, did Tom do for the Family? How did he start to be considered for the consigliere position?
  • As the Corleones’ lawyer and later consigliere, what kind of things did Vito ask Tom to do? What was a typical day like?
  • Post-Sonny’s death. Mourning.
