Prompts:

Dooku relationships - I would love to see Dooku prior to his fall still as a Jedi, maybe on a mission gone wrong with Qui-Gon (and Obi-Wan?). Or after his fall, and all of the hurt surrounding that. Perhaps an AU where Qui-Gon lived and Dooku still fell anyways and Qui-Gon now has to deal with his Master now being his enemy? Maybe Dooku captures Obi-Wan or Qui-Gon (or both) during the Clone Wars and things go badly?

Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan and Anakin - I would love to see an AU where Qui-Gon lives but things still fall apart to the tune of one of these prompts. Maybe Anakin still falls, maybe the trio goes on a mission together that ends badly.

Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan - Maybe Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan go on a mission together that goes horribly wrong. Or maybe Obi-Wan mourning Qui-Gon after his death.

Obi-Wan and Anakin - Anakin and Obi-Wan’s friendship is so tragic. Their relationship is really the heart of the prequels films for me, how much they love each other and how that just isn't enough. I would love to see them together in any era- for example, Padawan Ani, pre-AOTC teenage Anakin, Clone Wars era, etc. Maybe a mission gone terribly wrong. Or perhaps an exploration of all the awfulness of Anakin’s betrayal.

Solo Obi-Wan - maybe he goes on a solo mission that goes terribly wrong. I'm also always up for sad desert hermit Obi-Wan being haunted by his past.

Prompts:

So I love Padmé and Anakin but I don’t think anyone would deny that their relationship has a LOT of problems. I would love to see any exploration of that- Anakin’s possessiveness issues, the Tusken massacre, the whole getting married after only knowing each other for like a week thing, Anakin’s fall.

I’d also love to see an exploration of their relationship falling apart in a different way than canon. Maybe they stay broken up after the Clovis incident. Maybe Padmé breaks up with Anakin for a different reason. Or maybe one of them is killed during the Clone Wars and has to go on without the other. Or perhaps an AU where Anakin doesn't fall but they still break up anyways (and sadly co-parent Luke and Leia later?)

For ROTS-era stuff: Maybe Padmé believes Anakin can’t be saved and goes to Mustafar to kill Anakin. Maybe fallen!Anakin captures Padmé after Mustafar and refuses to let her go, leading to her taking drastic measures. Or maybe Anakin goes too far and kills Padmé on Mustafar. Or maybe an AU where Padmé lives looks back on her relationship with Anakin with regret after what he has become.

Prompts:

Obi-Wan, Anakin and Ahsoka - I love these three together in any combination. I love how much they care for each other, but as we know in canon that isn’t enough to save them. It is so sad that they all ended up surviving the Clone Wars but all had to live the rest of their lives without each other. Ahsoka and Obi-Wan never even find out that the other survived the Clone Wars! :( I’m totally good with canon-compliant fics that explore that. I also would love to see them during the Clone Wars, maybe on a mission that goes terribly wrong to the tune of one of the prompts.

I also thought the “Character dies for real soon after faking their own death” freeform was especially perfect for post-Rako Hardeen Obi-Wan. I would also love to see any of the trio being forced to do one of the time loop freeforms. I feel like Obi-Wan and Ahsoka would work well as the time travellers in the “Time Loop - trying and failing to fix it until you realize there is no way to "fix" it” freeform and Anakin in the “Time Loops - Breaking the Loop Requires Letting a Loved One Die” freeform.

Barriss and Luminara - I love Barriss and Luminara so much and I think they would have made a great Master-padawan pair in a better world, a world where the trauma of war didn’t drive Barriss to the Dark. Their dedication to their Mirialan traditions and culture, their reserved nature, their intelligence, their bravery and compassion. For Barriss and Luminara, I would love to see a mission that goes terribly wrong to the tune of one of the prompts, or the aftermath of Barriss’s betrayal.

It makes me sad to imagine Luminara in the immediate aftermath of Barriss’s confession, in complete shock that the compassionate healer that she raised could be capable of such violence, and Barriss as she experiences the consequences of her actions, torn between regret, the difficult of admitting that she was wrong and things got out of control, and bitterness that Luminara hadn’t noticed that something was wrong in time to stop her. Did Luminara visit Barriss in prison? Also, as we see in Rebels, Luminara was briefly captured after Order 66- did she ever see Barriss again, either as a fellow prisoner or a new Inquisitor?

Bo-Katan and Satine - I would love to get a look at their relationship, and how things fall apart so badly that Bo-Katan literally joins a terrorist group dedicated to murdering Satine. Yet Bo-Katan clearly cares for Satine and is upset by her death. What does Satine think of Bo-Katan after she joins Death Watch? What would have happened if they met while Bo-Katan was still Death Watch?

For the “Aftermath of Betrayal” and “Amnesia - Character Forgets Crimes They Have Committed Against Others” prompt, I am thinking mostly about Anakin, Barriss and Bo-Katan as the betrayers. Feel free to explore the aftermath in all the awful detail.

Prompts:

I love how Obi-Wan and Satine clearly care about each other, how Satine confesses that she still loves Obi-Wan… and they can never be happy together, because they will choose every time to put their responsibilities first- Satine’s duty to Mandalore and Obi-Wan’s duty to the Order. I would love to explore the inherent tragedy of their relationship, the fact that they both know they made the right choice but it still hurts anyways.

There are so many angles to work from: the year on the run and all its accompanying angst, them coming to care for the other, realizing that they are in love with the other but knowing that what they have can never be permanent, the gap years between the year on Mandalore and the Clone Wars, meeting again and the ensuing angst and reignitied Feelings, Satine’s death, Obi-Wan’s exile and him having nothing but time to think about everything he’s lost. (Maybe having hallucinations in the desert of Satine?) That’s not even getting into the fact that Satine literally dies in Obi-Wan’s arms saying that she always loved him! I know that haunted Obi-Wan for probably the rest of his life.

For the “A has moved on; B hasn't” specifically, Satine is definitely the one who hasn’t moved on for me. Like, one of the very first episodes we see her she confesses that she has literally loved since his padawan years. We are talking about likely 15+ years here! And she has not moved on! (This is like twice as angsty if you subscribe to the Korkie Kenobi headcanon because then he is the literal father of her only child and heir too! Korkie looks so much like his father and probably reminds her of him everyday!) Obi-Wan still cares about her, but not enough to give up the Order.

Prompts:

Leia and Vader - I would love to see Leia’s reactions to the traumas she experiences in the OT- the loss of Alderaan, her torture at Vader’s hands. I would love to see Leia rightfully angry, and not ready to forgive Vader so easily, even if she does find out that he’s her father.

Luke and Vader - I would love to see Luke trying to come to terms with the fact that Vader is his father, and basically see all the difficulties of trying to come to terms with the awful legacy he has left. Vader certainly does not make it easy.

Vader and Luke or Leia - Perhaps Vader kills one (or both) of them and only later finds out that they were his children. Or perhaps he finds out about their parentage and forms an alliance with one of them, only for Palpatine to find out and ruin everything.

Obi-Wan and Luke or Leia - I would love to see Obi-Wan who remembers Padmé and Anakin and is awed and heartbroken by how similar their children are to them. How much he cares for these two children who are all he has left of them. Perhaps Obi-Wan imagines what it would have been like in a better world, where the Order never fell and he could have taken Luke or Leia as his padawan with the support of Anakin and Padmé. Or maybe Obi-Wan lives past ANH and takes one of the twins as his padawan, only for things to go badly.

Obi-Wan and Vader - I would love an exploration of all the unresolved hurt that lies between them. Obi-Wan copes by doing everything in his power to mentally separate Anakin and Vader (to dubious results) while Vader somehow even more unhealthy (and violent) coping mechanisms. How much they once loved each other and that neither of them could ever have imagined things would have ended up like this. And neither of them are happy that things would end up like this, but it is much too late to fix anything, at least in this life.

Prompts:

Rael and Nim - Depressing Star Wars fact of the day: did you know that Nim was only 14 when she died? I’d love to see Rael in the immediate aftermath of Nim’s death, dealing with the Council’s questioning and his own (somewhat deserved) guilt, because he was reckless and made the wrong call and it did cost Nim her life, or maybe Rael being haunted by the (real or imaginary) ghost of Nim.

Or maybe an AU where Nim survives the slicer dart attack and Rael doesn’t. Or maybe Nim survives the slicer dart attack, but she is left permanently injured in some way, and she is unable to trust Rael anymore, and it is decided that they should dissolve their Master-padawan relationship. Or possibly Nim & Rael both survive to see the Clone Wars, but are captured by a man they used to love and respect, Dooku. Bad things happen.

Dooku and Rael - So what if Rael had agreed to leave the Order and join Team Dooku? What would he have been like as Dooku’s Sith apprentice? Or perhaps a missionfic from when Rael was a padawan, where things go horribly wrong to the tune of one of the freeforms? Or maybe Rael survives to the Clone Wars, and to see the man his former Master has become. After Nim and Qui-Gon’s death, another loss should be par for the course, but Dooku’s betrayal hurts in an entirely new way.

Also: if your preferred explanation for what happens to Rael after Master & Apprentice is, "Yeah, Dooku killed him", then I'm totally open to seeing that explored in fic. Maybe Dooku killed him to prove his loyalty to Sidious after Rael rejected his offer? Maybe he killed him as his Sith sacrifice??? And Dooku felt guilty and conflicted but he still killed him anyway???? And then afterwards he’s haunted by possibly real, possibly a hallucination Force ghost!Rael?????

All the siblings - I love this messed up Mafia family so much. I would love to see the siblings together as things fall apart. Maybe a look at their childhood, mourning their losses together over the years. I would love to see fic exploring the aftermath of any of the canonical deaths. Or perhaps a canon divergence AU where Sonny lives and things still go badly to the tune of one of the freeforms.

Sonny and Tom - I love that Sonny just found an orphan boy living on the streets and decided to take him home and ask his dad if he could keep him. And Tom just responded, okay, I am going to be completely loyal and dedicated to you for the rest of my life. Some ideas: Sonny finding Tom after his kidnapping in Part I- maybe in this AU it got physical and Tom was tortured? Or maybe Tom mourning Sonny after his death.

Connie and Sonny - Oh they make me so sad. I love the tragedy of how Sonny’s best qualities, his protective older brother instincts, are used against him and ultimately lead to his death. And then Connie is left with her abuser, who is also responsible for Sonny’s death. What an awful situation. Some ideas: Connie mourning Sonny and gradually coming to terms with Carlo’s role in Sonny’s death. Or maybe an AU where Sonny lives but things still go badly anyways.

Michael and Tom - The place where they are at the end of Part II is so interesting. I love how Tom stays despite Michael’s mistreatment and increased paranoia. There are a lot of interesting places to take it from there. I’m also interested in seeing Part I-era Michael & Tom, or pre-series Michael & Tom going on an adventure that goes wrong to the tune of one of the prompts.

There are a lot of ways for things to go badly for these two beyond what happens in canon, though I'm totally fine if you want to keep it canon compliant. Maybe an AU where Michael is killed at some point in the timeline for Mafia-related reasons and Kay has to deal with the aftermath. Or maybe a look at how their relationship falls apart in Part II, Kay's growing (enforced) isolation, her fears that things will never get better, and how she eventually comes to lose trust in Michael and decide to terminate her pregnancy and end their relationship. Or maybe their relationship falls apart in a different way- perhaps the assassination attempt at the beginning of Part II goes differently and someone is seriously injured or killed.

Or perhaps something after their divorce, maybe Kay dealing with the separation from her children before Michael eventually returns custody of them and how painful that must have been, how much power he still had over her and how little she could do about it. Or maybe some sad and fraught attempts at co-parenting after Michael decides to let her have custody of the children again. I would also love to see Kay or Michael looking back during or after Part III, reflecting on the past and their regrets, the fact that they still care for each other despite everything.
