Injustice: Gods Among Us (Comics)

Requested character(s): Lois Lane (My gift must feature all of my chosen character tags)

So this is a little bit of a strange request, considering this version of Lois is fridged about five minutes into the first year of Injustice. I would love a fic that explores what would happen if she came back. After all, resurrections are a dime a dozen in the DC universe. How would she react to the person her husband has become? To deal with the trauma of remembering what it was like to die at her own husband’s hands, even if he wasn’t in his right mind at the time? To the loss of her and Clark’s unborn child, assuming she’s resurrected without her pregnancy? To the loss of her home city, the Daily Planet, to her friends and family members and coworkers? What an unimaginably painful set of losses. Feel free to go in as dark and angsty a direction as you’d like, as long as you respect my DNWs.

But Lois has a spine of steel and an unwavering dedication to truth and fairness. Once the initial shock and despair wore off, I can’t imagine a world where Lois wouldn’t do everything in her power to stop Clark from going down the path he is on. Would she try to talk to Clark? Or would she go to Bruce? But if she ended up working with Batman, how would she react to some of his allies? (I doubt she’d be all ‘forgive and forget’ regarding Harley…)

Feel free to include Clark and Clark/Lois in a major role as well. How does Clark react to Lois’s resurrection- is it enough to take him off the path he is on? Or is it too late for that? Does he try to protect her to stop himself from losing her again (even if she doesn’t want his protection)? I’m totally fine if Lois is understanding/sympathetic/conflicted about Clark, but please don’t have Lois instantly forgiving him either.

Overall, I would be happy with any fic that focused on Lois and her perspective in this dark universe.

My Adventures with Superman (Cartoon)

Requested character(s): Clark Kent (My gift must feature all of my chosen character tags)

This version of Clark is so sweet and self-sacrificial and caring. I would love anything featuring more of this wonderful version of the character. I didn’t specifically request Lois because I would be totally happy with Clark genfic for this fandom, but free to include as much Clark/Lois as you want as well!

• I would always love some more Clark angst. “Zero Day” (especially the scene of General Lane confronting Clark) provided that wonderfully, but I would always love more! This version of Clark is such a sweet, loving and caring Superman, and seeing how this world and his villains try to crush that is fun in a very angsty way. Whump away if you’d like!
• Clark learning more about his Kryptonian heritage and getting more of a chance to interact with Jor-El. It was super interesting to see how the language barrier affected this version of the Clark & Jor-El relationship.
• As for all Superman stories, I’m here for stories exploring identity, secret identity and secret identity shenanigans. I loved how Lois figured out Clark’s secret identity in this version, but I would always be up for an AU where she doesn’t figure it out quite as quickly.
• Clark didn’t have a lot of time to process after viewing the alternate Superman destroying Metropolis in the orb. But it’s clear that he’s destined to use his abilities to hurt people is a really awful thing for him to deal with. And how might that be heightened after everything he learned about Zero Day and what he believes about Krypton and Jor-El? How does he deal with feelings of fear, guilt and shame? Maybe trying to isolate himself from his loved ones? How do Jimmy and Clark’s parents react? How does Lois?

Superman (Christopher Reeve Movies)

These two are such a classic and wonderful take on Lois and Clark! They also invite so much fun secret identity drama and shenanigans. I’m open to a wide variety of stories with these two- fluffy, angsty, H/C, canon divergence AUs, (mutual) pining etc.

• Lois getting her memories back permanently post Superman II. How does she react? (Is she a little mad at Clark? Or is she a lot more than a little mad at Clark?)
• Fake dating/marriage galore! Perhaps a Superman II AU where Lois and Clark had to take the being mistaken for a couple thing (the honeymoon suite!) farther? Or an AU where Lois and Clark are on some story together and they have to go undercover as a couple for a lot longer? Or Kryptonian marriage tradition shenanigans? Aliens/Jor-El made them get married?

The Godfather (1972 1974 1990)

I love this sad Mafia family. I love all of the drama and the tragedy of this canon, and how despite all of the tragedy and violence they experience (and sometimes cause), they stick together and always remain loyal to each other. I’m totally fine with darkfic, canon-typical violence, murder, tragedy and unhappy endings for this fandom. But a fix-it or something more light-hearted/happier is totally welcome as well- please go in the direction that inspires you!

For this request, I would be fine receiving a fic about either Tom or Connie or both of them if that fits with your idea. Feel free to include other characters (especially other Corleones!) in major roles as well. I’ve split my prompts for this fandom into three sections: prompts for Connie, prompts for Tom and prompts for both!

Connie Corleone

Connie survives a lot in the films, especially her abusive marriage. But I would love to see Connie not just as a victim, but as a woman with agency who tries to find her own to deal with the situation she’s in, and who relates to both her own family and the Family business in a different way to her brothers.

• A look at Connie’s childhood. What was it like being the only girl in the family? How were the expectations different for her? What was her relationship with her parents like and how did it differ from the relationship her brothers had? How did she relate to the Family business, especially as her older brothers began to join it?
• An AU where any of her siblings help Connie “deal with” her abusive husband in a permanent way. Interpret “deal with” as you like.
• Something focused on her relationship with Sonny. They obviously care for each other a great deal. His death, especially given the circumstances of her abuse being used as a way to trap him, must have been devastating. How did she cope?
• I love how Connie acts as Michael’s unofficial consigliere in Part III. How did Connie become a part of the criminal side of the Family in between Part II and Part III?

Tom Hagen

I really love Tom and I would love to see your take on him! I would love anything about his life, his unique place in the family, his relationship with his siblings and with Vito and Carmela.

• Any look at Tom’s childhood. How did Tom get used to being a part of the family after Sonny convinced Vito to take him in? How did Vito’s criminal business affect their childhood?
• I would love any fic that focused on Sonny and Tom’s relationship. I love that Sonny just found an orphan boy living on the streets and decided to take him home and ask his dad if he could keep him. And Tom responded, okay, I am going to be loyal to you for the rest of my life. They have one of, if not the closest bond in the Corleone family and I would love to see more of it. Maybe a misadventure as kids or young adults, or something looking at their relationship when they both work in the Family.
• An AU where Sonny avoids his death on the tollway. How does Sonny and Tom’s relationship and the Family change over the years?
• A look at Tom’s early career in the Family. How did he approach Vito to start working for the Family? How was he treated by other members of the Family - were some reluctant to trust him because of Tom’s non-Italian heritage? What legal work (shady or otherwise) did Tom do for the Family? How did he eventually become the clear candidate for the consigliere position by the time of Connie’s wedding?
• Outsider POV on Tom. Maybe from one of the Corleone button men, maybe from a civilian outsider. Maybe from a member of another Family, wondering about the history between the Don Corleone’s firstborn son and heir apparent and an Irish kid?
• Some hurt/comfort with Tom after his kidnapping in Part I—maybe an AU where it got physical and Tom was tortured? Other hurt/comfort scenarios are welcome as well. I am always here whump and/or H/C.
• Tom mourning Sonny after his death. I always imagine that Sonny’s death strongly affected him, even years later. I do like ghosts/stories with supernatural elements, so feel free to go in that direction if you’d like.
• Why does Tom choose to stay with the Family despite Michael’s increasing paranoia and poor treatment of him towards the end of Part II? And what is his reaction to finding out that Michael had Fredo killed? How is their relationship rebuilt as Michael becomes more and more isolated (or how do they drift further apart)?

Connie Corleone & Tom Hagen

Connie and Tom are two of my favorite of the Corleone siblings. The two characters are both something of outsiders in the family- Tom because of his non-Italian heritage, Connie because she’s a woman. But in Part II with Tom, and Part III with Connie, they both end up being the last siblings left alive and willing to run the family with Michael. For a fic featuring both characters, I would love to see something exploring their similarities and differences.

• What if Connie had gone to Tom for help with Carlo’s abuse? Maybe she wanted legal advice for a divorce, maybe she thought that Tom might help her with a less direct approach than Sonny.
• After the end of Part II, Michael is colder and more alone than ever, but he still has Connie and Tom’s support. How unwavering was that support? (Connie was at least willing to go against Michael by letting Kay see their children.) What did they know about Fredo’s death and do they share that information with each other? How did they relate to each other?
• How did Connie end up as the unofficial consigliere in Part III after Tom’s death? Did Tom help mentor Connie in that role before his death? Or maybe an AU where Tom is still alive in Part III and able to help the family?
