Thank you for writing for me! This is my first time participating in Yuletide and I am so excited for it. I look forward to seeing what you write! I am CeruleanTactician on AO3 as well. All my prompts are just suggestions, if you have any ideas that you think will be great, as long as it respects my DNWs, go for it. Better Call Saul (Jimmy McGill, Chuck McGill)
Jimmy and Chuck’s relationship makes me so sad! They both obviously care for each other but a mixture of stubbornness and circumstance brings their relationship to a tragic end. I would love to see fic exploring the tragedy of their relationship. Or happy moments between the two of them.
I would love to see pre-canon stuff—scenes from their shared childhood, or maybe something during Jimmy’s time in the mail room. Or maybe something during the early days of Chuck’s illness.
I would love to see some canon divergence AUs as well. What if Chuck had relented and allowed Jimmy to join HHM at some point? Or maybe what if Chuck survived his suicide attempt at the end of season 3? Would he and Jimmy have been able to rebuild their relationship? Seeing a happier ending for these two would be great.
Jimmy (or Saul) being haunted by the real or imagined ghost of Chuck at any point after Chuck’s death would be great as well.
Blade Runner (K | Joe)
I love one (1) sad robot man. I would love to see a pre-canon day in the life for poor Officer K. His life is pretty grim and he deals with dehumanization fairly frequently, so feel free to write something angsty. This canon has such a distinct and interesting world, so some wordbuilding on what it is like to exist in this world, as a replicant or as a blade runner would be great. I would also love AU where K/Joe lives. What does he do with his life afterwards? What is his relationship with Ana and Deckard like?
The Godfather (Michael Corleone, Tom Hagen, Connie Corleone, Sonny Corleone)
I love these sad Mafia siblings. I love all of the drama and the tragedy of this canon, and how despite all of the tragedy and violence they experience (and cause), they stick together and remain loyal to each other. I’m totally fine with canon-typical violence and death for this fandom, but something that gives these characters a happy ending would be great as well.
(Note: For this fandom, you don’t need to include all of the requested characters in your fic, especially if you want to write something set after a character’s canon death.)
- Any look at their childhood. When did each of them realize what business their father was really in?
- How did the household react when the family first took Tom in? How did Tom get used to being a part of the family?
- Sonny (and co.) comfort Tom after his kidnapping in Part I—maybe an AU where it got physical and Tom was tortured?
- The siblings team up to murder Connie’s abusive husband, then cover up the murder.
- Sonny avoids his death on the tollway. How do their lives change?
- Outsider POV on the siblings. Maybe from one of the Corleone button men, maybe from a civilian.
- How Tom and/or Connie found out that Michael killed Fredo.
Star Wars: Republic (Fay)
Fay! We don’t see that much of her in canon, but she is such an interesting character. I love this mysterious Jedi woman who is so close to the will of the Force that she is no longer entirely mortal. I love how she doesn’t carry a lightsaber but she is still very dangerous when the situation calls for it. She's clearly dedicated to nonviolence, not even carrying a lightsaber, but also not afraid to go hard against Ventress when the need arises.
I would love to see more of her: her relationship with the Order, her adventures around the galaxy, what she was up to during the Clone Wars prior to her death. What was she like during her early years? What was her relationship with her Jedi Master like? Did she ever consider taking a padawan? What led her down the path she’s taken, away from the rest of the Order but still serving the Force and helping her fellow Jedi when she gets the chance? I would love to see her meeting other Star Wars characters. Seeing her with Republic!Quinlan and/or Aayla would be great. I would also love to see her interacting with Ahsoka or any of the clones.
